The outside of the South St. Louis coffee shop looks pretty normal, but when you walk inside you can tell that this in not your average coffee shop. Shameless Grounds is all about sex and it is not ashamed.
The coffee shop features a wide library with topics ranging in hetero-erotica, homo-erotica, human sexuality and gender, books on kinks, sex positions, sex work, and so much more. The library is entirely free and available to any patron over the age of 18. But the library is not the only feature of the coffee shop, there is also sex-themed art.
Atop the bookshelves is a series called "The Pussy Project" which features casts of several women's vaginas which aims to show that this aspect of womanhood comes in all different shapes and sizes. There is even wall art included a crocheted piece of fabric that says "Sex is beautiful, reproduction is optional" and a chart depicting the varieties of monogamy.
Shameless Grounds is all about establishing positive sex culture, because as long as you're being safe and happy, there is no reason to be ashamed. In fact, you should be proud of their sexuality.
